Group of Women in Viral Community Pantry in Pasig City Were Outsiders
A concerned netizen exposed that the group of women involved in the viral community pantry in Pasig City were allegedly from another barangay.
A video of a community pantry in Pasig City left with nothing but an empty table recently went viral on social media. A group of unruly women were caught on camera taking everything from a community pantry that was set up to help people in need.
In the video, a group of women can be seen approaching a pantry in their neighborhood to fetch some supplies. Their behavior, however, contradicts the pantry’s quote about “kumuha batay sa pangangailan.”
One of the women involved in the pantry’s ransacking has now spoken out about the viral incident. The lady was identified as Maricar Adriano, who was seen wearing a yellow sleeveless top and holding a tray of eggs from the pantry.
She admitted that she is one of the people who take food from the community pantry in a comment on one of the viral articles. They supposedly did not take it for themselves and instead shared it with their neighbors, according to her.
She also expresses her displeasure with those who curse them. Despite her denials, a local netizen revealed that they were from another barangay. According to the netizen, they were already informed about the free offers, but they chose to disregard them and continue their inconsiderate conduct.
