In a Twitter post many years ago, Maine Mendoza expressed her apologies and said this.
MAINE MENDOZA – Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza apologized for the Twitter posts she made many years ago in her recent social media post.
Also known as Yaya Dub is Maine Mendoza who rose to fame and landed a spot in show business because of her Dubsmash videos which made her the “Queen of Dubsmash” in the country. She is most loved as Yaya Dub and was once paired with Alden Richards which their show “Kalye Serye” was a successful hit and a record-breaking event.

And just previously, before her fame, her Tweets way back 2010 and 2011 circulated on social media where one of which seemingly implied that she used the words “gay” and its Filipino equivalent “bading” as insults. At that time then, she was just 15 or 16 years old and despite the remarks she made have happened already in the past, it drew mixed reactions.
Some netizens have expressed disappointment over it while other have showed understanding that her young self was less informed over sensitive matters like that. After it created a loud buzz, just within hours later, the actress took to social media and aired her apologies over such.
At 26 years old now, she expressed, “Sending my sincerest apologies to those whom I have offended with my tweets way back then. It was my careless self talking and I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I am sincerely sorry.”
Being among the top Filipino celebrities on social media, she added, “Through the years, I have learned to be more careful with my thoughts and words – and how it would affect the people around me. Hope you hear me out this time.”
To recall, way back in 2016, a past Tweet from the actress about GMA program Daisy Siete also resurfaced to which the date of post was March 14, 2010. Allegedly, it stated, “May Daisy Siete papala. Nakakatawa! Puro ka jologsan ng S**bomb. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck!”
