The victim was rushed to the hospital, but the doctor did not perform an x-ray on his wound and only sewed it up because it was superficial. When Tomao underwent an x-ray to apply for a job last month, the knife was found on his back.

Tomao is seeking assistance from kind-hearted people to extract the knife that has been lodged in his body for over a year. After he went to the radio station to reveal his plight, some generous people offered to help him pay for his surgery.

On Tuesday, Tomao underwent surgery at the Cotabato Provincial Hospital. Since the knife was too close to the victim’s lungs, the procedure took three hours, based on the report. Tomao is currently recuperating at his parents’ house.
