NBA Star Kevin Durant Fined $50k by NBA for Offensive, Derogatory Language

Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant fined $50,000 by National Basketball Association (NBA) over offensive and derogatory remarks against actor.

NBA star Kevin Durant immediately apologized after the NBA fined him $ 50K for uttering bad words on his social media. The Brooklyn Nets superstar admitted that they didn’t just get along with actor and comedian Michael Rapaport so he was able to say them.

According to Durant, Rapaport himself released their exchanges on social media to the public. A heated feud between the two erupted when Rapaport noticed the behavior of the former NBA Most Valuable Player in a post-game television interview in December.

As a result, Durant showered him with bad messages. Rapaport posted screenshots of Durant’s bad words on his Twitter.

According to ESPN, Coach Steve Nash said the organization had a conversation with Durant about the language used in the exchange. The Nets star then apologized about his offensive tirade.

“I’m sorry that people seen that language I used,” Durant said. “That’s not really what I want people to see and hear from me, but hopefully I can move past it and get back out there on the floor,” he said.
