Easter Sunday Prayer – “Christ Is Risen”

EASTER SUNDAY PRAYER – Here is a prayer for Christians today as we celebrate the rising of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, from death.

The Holy Week is one of religious events highly observed by Christians across the globe. Usually, before the pandemic happened, there are a lot of church activities.

There are vigil, the parade of the saints, the re-enactment of the washing of the feet and Jesus Christ’s suffering to Mount Calvary, and a lot more. However, due to the pandemic now, activities are limited and the public is encouraged to just participate by watching it in their phones at home.

The Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the Last Supper or the Passover Meal. It is where Jesus Christ established the Eucharist – the bread and wine as His body and blood. The Good Friday is focused on the sufferings and death of the Son of God in the Cross.

The Black Saturday commemorates the death of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that on the third day, the Son of God rose again – the celebration of the Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunday Prayer

Oh Son of God, Jesus Christ, Your resurrection brought hope to us people. Thank You for Your immense love that has redeemed us from the bondage of sins. I open my life to a new start, to a positive perspective, to a hopeful mindset, to a faithful heart that believes in You no matter what. Instill in me Your love, compassion, peace, and truth that I will be an example of a good follower. Thank You for rising again, for fulfilling everything in Your obedience to the Father and love for the people.
