12 Tourists Arrested by Authorities for Violating Health Protocols, 1 of Them Tests Positive
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – The police authorities arrest 12 tourists for violating the health protocols and one of them tests positive.
Acting police provincial director Col. Romano Cardiño received a report that a group of tourists is roaming around Mount Tapulao at a famous trekking destination. The group violated the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force.
The police officers also found out that the tourists failed to present medical documents when they were flagged down while traveling using a Nissan Grandia. The quarantine offenders have been subjected to swab tests.
Unfortunately, Cardiño said that one of the health protocol violators has tested positive for the coronavirus disease. The cops were forced to place the tourists in quarantine to ensure the safety of other residents.
Central Luzon director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon also reminded the public to remain at home except for emergencies that would require them to go outside. He explained that the police force would immediately arrest anyone who will defy the safety protocols.
“Time and again, I appeal to the public to stay at home if there is no need to go outside. Your police are duty-bound to enforce the law, and we will not hesitate to arrest those who break the law,” De Leon said.
