Bread Containing Illegal Drugs Seized After a Smuggle Attempt Inside Davao Prison

Police seized bread containing illegal drugs after a woman visitor attempted to smuggle it inside the prison of Davao City.

A 25-year-old woman will now be held behind bars after trying to smuggle bread containing illegal drugs called shabu into the jail of the Bunawan Police Station in Davao on Sunday afternoon.

The woman was supposed to visit an inmate imprisoned for selling illegal drugs. According to the report of ABS-CBN News, the woman and the prisoner are said to be friends.

When the food he was carrying was inspected, it was found that the bread he was going to give to his prison friend contained illegal drugs. Maj. Noel Villahermosa, chief of the Bunawan Police Station, there are many drug suspects are doing these kinds of activities previously.

“Before, may mga incident na gaya nito, mga modus na pinapasok sa pagkain kaya lahat ng binibigay ng mga dalaw, iniinspeksyon ng mga jailer,” Maj. Noel Villahermosa, chief of the Bunawan Police Station, in the ABS-CBN News report.

Up to P10,200 worth of shabu was confiscated from the bread. The woman will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
