Police Seized P400k Worth of Illegal Drugs Seized from Student in Capiz

Authorities arrested a student in Roxas City, Capiz after illegal drugs called “shabu” was seized in a buy-bust operation.

A student was arrested for selling alleged illegal drugs in Barangay Cagay, Roxas City, Capiz, Sunday morning in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and the Roxas City Police.

Based on the report of ABS-CBN News, the subject of the operation was a 21-year-old student and an alias Joce who lived in the area. Police who pretended to be the buyer bought the suspect a sachet of suspected shabu worth P14,000.

An additional 13 sachets of suspected drugs were recovered from the suspect’s possession. Authorities said the street value of the illegal drugs confiscated from the suspect was P442,000.

The suspect is now in the custody of the Roxas City Police and is scheduled to be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Meanwhile, the suspect’s companion escaped after learning that the transaction was with the police.
