The church authorities announced that the Holy Masses and other religious events would be held virtually as obedience to the order of Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases to curb the increasing COVID-19 infections.

On Wednesday (March 24, 2021), the Crisis Management Team of the diocese said that the churches will be temporarily close to the public during the given period of time. Only priest and church servers are allowed.

The Diocese of Antipolo in Rizal also vowed to obey the order of IATF until April 4, 2021. The parish also issued an advisory that only 10 people are allowed to attend masses, weddings, baptisms, funeral masses, and blessings.

“Online masses from the different parishes’ Facebook page will be available to cater to our spiritual nourishment and sustenance,” the Antipolo diocese said.

The government’s resolution aims to control the surging cases of the coronavirus disease in the Philippines.
