The two victims allegedly said that they were legitimate overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and had valid overseas employment certificates (OEC) and employment contracts but when the Immigration officers checked, the documents presented by them were not verified.

The detained Pinay has allegedly shown the documents of the TCEU and there the documents were confirmed to be fake. “Through the checks, it was confirmed by the POEA officer on-duty that the contract the victims submitted were not verified by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Dubai, and were faked,” Morente said.

In the interview, the two Pinays were forced to admit where they said they only got their documents from an agent they met before their trip. The intercepted Filipinas are now in the custody of immigration.
