Ex-Cop Alleged Mastermind of Valenzuela Messenger Slay Fought to Death
An ex-cop who is believed to be the mastermind behind the messenger slay in Valenzuela City fought to the death against the police.
According to the report of GMA News, the dismissed police was allegedly the mastermind of robbery and murder to a messenger in Valenzuela City. He was Killed in the encounter in Brgy. San Francisco, Lipa City, Batangas around 6 p.m. last Wednesday night.
The former Police was identified as Officer 1 Anthony Glua Cubos, alias Big Boss, who is said to be the leader of the Cubos Criminal Group. Cubos and his group were allegedly involved in kidnapping, robbery extortion, gun-for-hire, and illegal drugs.
Those killed on the Philippine National Police’s national drug watchlist are also among the pushers and protectors of illegal drugs. The arrest warrant for robbery-homicide issued by the Valenzuela Regional Trial Court would have served Cubos when he shot the policemen.
In retaliation, the policemen fired at the former law enforcement officer, based on the report. The three suspects in the murder of Nino Luegi Hernando in October last year were Jo-Ann Cabatuan, Edgar Batchar, and Michael Castro.
The remaining suspects are Rico Reyes, alias “Moja,”; and Narciso Santiago alias “Tukmol”. Any concerned citizens spotted them can call the Valenzuela City Police Station at 8352-4000 for any information.
