Illegal Drugs Hidden In Puto Maya Seized In Dumaguete City
DUMAGUETE CITY – A woman was arrested in Dumaguete City after she was found to have possessed illegal drugs that were hidden in puto maya.
The woman was supposed to visit an Sherwin Gomera inmate at the local city police station who was arrested for illegal drugs according to a report from ABS-CBN News.
The police asked the female suspect her plastic bags for inspection. However, the woman decided to throw the bag rather than handing it over to the cops and attempted to flee away from the cops.
The authorities were able to capture the suspect. Upon inspection of the bag, it contained puto maya wrapped in banana leaves but hidden within them were three sachets of suspected illegal drugs.
The woman was immediately arrested and will be charged for possession of illegal drugs., based on the report.
In a separate drug report, two men were arrested for selling illegal drug plants in Manila on Wednesday, March 18, 2021.
