6 Barangays Under Lockdown In Manila Due To Spike In COVID-19 Cases

BARANGAY LOCKDOWN – Authorities imposed a four-day lockdown on 6 Barangays in Manila following a surge in coronavirus cases.

A year into the first lockdown, the number of daily cases in the Philippines soared significantly. According to OCTA research group, the country could detect at least 5,000 cases a day by the end of March. Unfortunately, their prediction came sooner than expected.

As such, officials of Manila imposed a uniformed curfew across the entirety of the province. Furthermore, local government units from high-risk barangays would also implement a lockdown to contain the spread of the virus.
