Makati City Police Arrested 2 Man After Caught Possessing Illegal Drugs

Authorities arrested 2 man in Makati city after caught possessing illegal drugs called shabu or crystal meth packed in a Chinese tea.

In a report of GMA News, more than P100 million worth of shabu packed in Chinese tea was confiscated from an uncle and niece tandem in Barangay West Rembo, Makati City.

According to the police report, a buy-bust operation was conducted Monday night where an undercover police operative sold a kilo of illegal drugs from the suspects. The operatives then searched the vehicle they used.

There, authorities found a suitcase containing 16 kilograms of illegal drugs that were vacuum-sealed, and the rest was placed in Chinese tea packaging. The total street value of the seized contraband is estimated at P108 million.

The uncle was not named first because the police will conduct a follow-up operation to determine the supply chain of the big-time pushers. Defense of one of those arrested, he knew nothing about the contents of the package and if he had found out it was a drug he would not have taken the driving sideline.

Meanwhile, over 170,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were seized by authorities in a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila. The drugs were seized from the three suspects, among them was a woman.
