Cebu Pacific Offers Unlimited ‘Rebooking’ After Removing Change Fees
The popular airline Cebu Pacific permanently removes the change fees including ‘rebooking’ to allow passengers to rebook as many as they want.
On Tuesday (March 2, 2021), the Philippine low-cost airline Cebu Pacific announced that it had permanently removed the change fees to allow passengers to rebook as many times as they want for free.
Cebu Pacific vice president for Marketing and Customer Experience Candice Iyog said that the announcement has been made after a recent study shows that flexibility in flight schedule is very important to restore the confidence of the passengers in air travel.
“Because of this, we are removing our change fee effective immediately. As we work on rebuilding our network and supporting domestic tourism, we will continue to listen to our passengers so we can make it even more convenient for everyjuan to fly again,” Iyog said
However, the airline company explained that minimal fare difference may still apply. The removal of change fee coincides with the simplified requirements for domestic travel amid the health crisis.
The aviation industry is one of most affected by the coronavirus pandemic resulting to laying off workers and reduction of flight capacities.
