Manager and Employee Joint Force to Rob Convenience Store They Work To
A store manager and an employee arrested after they joined forces to rob the convenience store where they work to.
In a report of GMA News, a manager and employee fell in jail after they conspired to rob the convenience store where they work and steal more than P4 million of its revenue on Claro M. Recto Avenue in Manila.
The robbery at the convenience store occurred past 1 p.m. on February 17. The manager and franchise owner of the convenience store himself reported the incident, but not to the police but to the barangay.

Based on the report, aside from the more than P4 million in the box, the suspect also took the cellphone of the manager and the CCTV hard drive of the store. Police did not immediately believe the manager’s statement.
For a week, the police followed the manager’s stolen phone and tracked down the CCTVs along the route. The suspect was caught several times by hundreds of CCTVs viewed by the authorities, also based on his clothes and used motorcycle.
According to witnesses, the suspect was cauhght in various parts of Metro Manila. When the suspect was tracked down in Pasay, the police did not expect the suspect to be with the cousin of the manager himself, who is also an employee of a convenience store.
During the investigation, the goods of this convenience store were taken out and no money was put in the vault. The arrested suspects are facing charges of qualified theft by conspiracy.
