Suspect Behind Shooting Construction Worker In Manila Arrested
MANILA – The suspect behind the shooting of a construction worker in Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila, was recently arrested.
The suspect, identified as Ronel Caparas, also known as Ibac, a 32 years old, was allegedly behind the shooting of a construction worker, identified as Jason Corrales.
The incident occurred in 2019 where they had a fight where the suspect placed a pool table at the victim’s place without consent.
This ended up with Caparas shooting Corrales in the head, resulting in the latter’s death.
Police Lt. Col. Robert Domingo, commander of Baseco Police, reported that the suspect has been in hiding in Delpan and seldom sleeps in a boat.
The police conducted the arrest after they received a tip from an informant that the suspect was hiding in Baseco and issued an arrest warrant.
Based on the report, Caparas will face charges for murder.
