PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day February 22 2021 (Monday).

The 4AM update from the state weather bureau says that Tropical Depression Auring (internationally called Dujuan) was last spotted at 135 km East Northeast of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte or 195 km East of Maasin City, Southern Leyte as of 3 AM.

It is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kilometers per hour. The weather disturbance is moving West Northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour.

Auring will be bringing rains with gusty winds over Eastern Visayas and Bicol Region. Possible light to moderate damage to structures and vegetation due to strong winds, and flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Auring will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm over the rest of Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Zamboanga Peninsula. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon, which is affecting Northern Luzon, will bring cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Aurora. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to light to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.

The rest of Mindanao will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the website, for the forecast wind and coastal water condition, Luzon and Visayas will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast to north direction while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The Northern and eastern sections of Mindanao will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast to northwest direction while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Mindanao will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the northeast to southwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
