PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (February 20)

The state weather bureau PAGASA raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 up over 25 areas due to Tropical Storm Auring.

On Saturday (February 20, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Auring would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

Auring is expected to hit eastern coast of Caraga Region but would remain stationary for the next six to 12 hours before moving northwest. The tropical storm’s eye would cross over Visayas and MIMAROPA on Sunday afternoon (February 21).

The weather disturbance was last located at 475 km east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Auring has maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hours and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

PAGASA raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 over 25 areas in Visayas and Mindanao.
