Ex-Barangay Police in Isabela Seized with Gun and Illegal Dried Plant Drugs
Police arrested ex-barangay police or tanod in Isabela for possessing a gun and ammunition along with illegal dried plant drugs.
During the raid conducted by the Isabela police, bullets, guns, and dried “Maryjane” leaves were seized from the ex-barangay tanod in his house in Purok 4, Barangay Upi, Gamu, Isabela.
Based on the report, PCapt. Glanery Cabeluza, chief of the PNP Gamu said the suspect was Marlon Jose, 37, married, ex-barangay tanod resident of Purok 4, Barangay Upi, Gamu, Isabela.

Led by PLt. George Gines, Deputy Chief of Police of PNP Gamu served as a search warrant issued by Hon. Angerico Ramirez, Judge 11th MCTC of Gamu-Burgos, Isabela in connection with the custody of Jose’s allegedly unlicensed firearm.
When police searched the suspect’s house, they found a bag containing a .38 caliber with five bullets, 2 sticks believed to be dried Maryjane leaves wrapped in newspaper.
Jose is now facing charges related to R.A 10591 or possession of an unlicensed firearm. Aside from that, he should be also charged with the violation of R.A 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
