Traffic Enforcers Apprehend Convoys of Funeral Procession Elicit Reactions
Video footage of two traffic enforcers who apprehend motorcycle convoys of a funeral procession earned elicited reactions online.
On Facebook, a netizen Emilio Cunanan shares a video of two traffic enforcers apprehending motorcycle convoys during the funeral procession in Malabon City. In the video, several motorcycles have been cited with ticket due to alleged violations.
According to the post, it was their friend’s relatives’ funeral procession when was delayed after two traffic enforcers blocked them and apprehended them due to certain traffic violations. They also arrested the driver of the carriage carrying the coffin.

The video has gone viral on social media and earned elicited reactions from the online community. Netizens criticized the two enforcers for uncompassionate acts towards the funeral procession with the grieving family.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Slow-moving funeral corteges or processions will no longer be allowed along major thoroughfares in Metro Manila to improve the traffic condition.
According to the agency, the banning of slow-moving funeral procession or convoy on major roads is being enforced to prevent traffic buildup on busy streets. It is said that convoys should proceed with normal traffic speed.
Also, the hearse and its convoy shall obey traffic rules. The convoy shall stop or gets cut once the traffic signal turns red. No stopping of traffic to allow the hearse and its convoy to pass.
