Why Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz did not become a couple
Bea Alonzo, in a recent interview, shared the reason why she and onscreen partner John Lloyd Cruz did not have a real-life romance.
The tandem of Bea and John Lloyd is one of the most-loved love teams in the Philippine entertainment industry. Together, they did several hit soap operas and movies in the past that are still popular even now.
Talking to PEP, Bea said that she has no idea how she and Lloydie exuded good chemistry onscreen, She said, perhaps that is called “magic”. The actress also shared that they have known each other for almost two decades now.
She mentioned that in a previous interview, she said that they had been in various relationships except being a girlfriend-boyfriend and husband-wife. Despite knowing each other for a long time now, Bea Alonzo revealed that she still discovers a lot about John Lloyd Cruz.
“Even though I’ve known him for so many years, parang every time I see him lagi akong may nadi-discover because, you know, John Lloyd has a very complex personality, marami talagang layers to him,” the actress shared.
When asked why she and John Lloyd never became a couple in the past, Bea said that she thinks that timing plays a major role. “Palagay ko malaking bagay ang timing, palaging hindi nagtatama,” the actress shared.
She said that every time she had a boyfriend, the actor was also in a relationship and vice versa. “Every time na single kaming dalawa, pareho kaming baliw,” Bea quipped.
Then, she said that maybe it was not meant to be because it was not written in destiny. “Baka hindi pa, hindi natin alam,” she added.
