Here are the netizens’ reactions to the painful “closure” lines of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia in “Paubaya”.
JULIA BARRETTO, JOSHUA GARCIA – Former love team JoshLia reunited in painful music video of “Paubaya” that broke numerous hearts.
Exes Julia Barreto and Joshua Garcia and former love team called JoshLia have reunited in the music video of Moira Dela Torre’s “Paubaya”. The once popular onscreen tandem broke up last year and the music video was released on Sunday and it seems like it gave “closure” to their relationship.
The video is nearly 12 minutes long and their reunion became an instant trending topic on Twitter. The lines they threw at each other in the confrontation part brought tears to their fans on Valentines’ Day. In a supposed to be the celebration of love, the sadness of the “closure” broke many hearts.
Is this the closure they need? For 16 hours, the video as of this writing has garnered over 4.6 million views. And below are some reactions of the netizens from Twitter:
Not a fan but When Joshua said, “pinapatawad na kita” to Julia I really felt that. True to life.
JoshLia is the perfect example of “let go of what you can’t change.”
Julia and Joshua were scriptwriters for this. Moira sang Torete for LYTTSB, now she sang Paubaya for their closure.
In the video, they played loers who found forgiveness to each other when they discovered that what they have won’t work out until the end. Their characters are bound to marry but Julia, the bride, broke down and run out just before Joshua could even say “yes”.
Julia apologized for running away and hurting him and he was sorry for not being there in times she needed him the most.
“Sinubukan naman natin, ‘di ba?” said Julia tearing up. The couple in the video ended well as they thanked and forgave each other. The two stars were credited as co-writers of this.
