A Day Before Valentine’s Day, Flower Prices Drastically Increased Up To 50%
VALENTINE’S DAY 2021 – The flower prices have drastically increased by 50 percent a day before the Valentine’s Day.
Over the past few days, a lot of Filipino people have been very busy looking gifts for their loved ones for the upcoming Valentine’s Day. Most people are also purchasing flowers as a symbol of love for their loved ones.
Recently, people who were doing last minute purchases of flowers for their loved ones got surprised due to the soaring prices of flowers as the Valentine’s Day approaches amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The flower vendors at the Farmers Flower Market in Quezon City are selling a bouquet composed of six pieces of sunflowers for P4,500. Roses, which are previously sold for P50 per piece are now sold for P100 per flower.
Meanwhile, a bouquet of roses, which has an original price of P500 is now sold for P1, 500.

Valentine’s Day is one of the most popular day of the year wherein couples celebrate this day together. It originated as a minor Western Christian feast day to honor an early Christian Martyr known as Saint Valentine.
