Mango Trader Killed Inside Subdivision In Digos City
DIGOS CITY – A mango trader recently died on the spot after two unknown assailants shot him at close range in a subdivision in Digos City.
Local City acting police chief Lt. Col. Vici Anthony Tababa identified the victim as Arman Jarot Mangubat, 53, of Malalag town in Davao del Sur.
Mangubat was inside the mango warehouse in Sambas Subdivision in Cogon village when the attackers barged in and shot the victim twice in the head. The victim instanly died.
Witnesses testified that the unknown assailants fled away from the scene of the crime after the shooting.
Personnel from the provincial crime laboratory recovered two spent cartridges and one deformed slug from a yet still undisclosed firearm.
Based on the report, Tababa said that they have yet to establish the motive behind the killing, as well as the identities of the killers.
Earlier this week, a labor union leader of the International Container Terminal Services Incorporated was killed in his residence in Tondo district in Manila.

The victim and his relatives descended from their vehicle when two unidentified men, who were aboard a motorcycle approached them and shot the victim several times.
The victim’s niece was also injured due to the suspect’s attack, with the latter fled towards Navotas.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on different parts of the body while his niece suffered two wounds in the body.
