However, there are also those who were disappointed by Ez Mil. One of them is Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan of Lapu-Lapu City who wants the rapper to be declared as personan non grata in the city.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Mayor Chan admitted he was hurt by the lyrics of Panalo which twisted facts stating that Lapu-Lapu died.

“As father of this city, I was hurt with his lyrics. If he doesn’t recognize Datu Lapu-Lapu as a hero, then he shouldn’t have included him in his song which may cause outrage to our Oponganon,” Mayor Chan said.

Based on the report, the Lapu-Lapu Mayor is recommending the city council to ban the rapper from entering the city. They also want public apology from him and urge him to “correct his mistake”.

Previously, the rapper apologized reasoning out that it was his choice as the artist. He clarified that he knows the history and he did it to spark talk.

“I’m sorry to anybody who was offended wit me putting inaccurate sources in our history as Filipinos. That’s why the song is what it is right now,” the rapper said.
