Jane de Leon was asked about the end of Yassi Pressman’s FPJAP stint
Actress Jane de Leon reacted to the rumors saying that she is the reason behind the exit of Yassi Pressman from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
For several years, Yassi has been playing the role of Alyana in the Kapamilya long-running series. She was the leading lady of Coco Martin’s character, Cardo Dalisay.
Throughout the years, the onscreen tandem of Cardo and Alyana is well-loved by many. Avid viewers of the FPJAP would always get “kilig” with their scenes. Outside the series, speculations even circulated that they are more than just co-stars and friends.
However, the character of Yassi already bid goodbye and a new actress in the series was introduced – Jane de Leon.
In line with this, based on the article from Pang-Masa, speculations surfaced that Jane, who was named as the new Darna, has something to do with Yassi’s exit from the series.
Jane denied this as she stressed that her inclusion in the series is the reason why Yassi’s character was ended. She even shared that she did not know that she would be playing the role of a sniper.
She also said that she was surprised during her first shooting day when she was handed a gun as she would be doing a shooting scene.
Jane de Leon added that she has not done a scene yet with the lead actor of the Kapamilya action-drama series.
Meanwhile, Jane’s supposed Darna movie was postponed but it will be done as a TV series also. Previous reports stated that new Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez might play the antagonist role Valentina.
