The Oppo Reno5 5G was announced on December 10, 2020, and released on January 7, 2021. The smartphone comes in a 6.43” screen size and the display is OLED capacitive touchscreen that provides 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.

Oppo Reno5 5G measures 159.1 x 73.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 172 grams. The material used for building the smartphone includes a glass front (Gorilla Glass 5), a glass back, and an aluminum frame.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm SM7250 Snapdragon 765 Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Adreno 620. Reno5 runs on the Android 11 + ColorOS 11.1 operating system. It is packed with 8GB and 12GB of RAM while the internal storage has 128GB and 256GB options.

Oppo Reno5 5G features a quad-camera on the rear side that consists of a 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth). It sports a 32-megapixel (wide) camera on the front for selfies.

The device is fueled by a 4300 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 65W + reverse charging + SuperVOOC 2.0. It is available in three colors: Starry Dream, Moonlight Black, and Aurora Blue.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include a WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS with A-GPS, BDS, GLONASS, QZSS, GALILEO, USB Type-C 3.1, and USB OTG. The phone’s sensors include a gyro, compass, accelerometer, proximity, and fingerprint (under display, optical).
