Baguio City Implements Curfew, Liquor Ban As GCQ Starts

BAGUIO CITY – The government Baguio City recently issued guidelines for its curfew hours and liquor ban as GCQ in CAR starts this Monday.

According to a report from GMA News, the curfew hours will start from 10 PM to 4 AM except for authorized persons outside residence. As for the liquor ban, it will start the next day from 8 PM 10 AM.

Residents below the age of 15 or above the age of 65 will be restricted from leaving their homes except for essential trips or for emergency.

Strict implementation of health protocols such as the wearing of face mask and face shield, as well as observing social distancing will be implemented.

Public transportation will also accommodate passengers of only up to 75% vehicle capacity.

Travel also have to show health certificates or medical certificates at the city borders.

Food establishments will be allowed to accept diners to fill up to 75% venue capacity. Establishments such as drugstores, gasoline stations, grocery stores and supermarkets will be allowed to remain open for up to 24 hours.

Based on the report, restaurants will be allowed to remain open during curfew hours but for takeout and delivery only.

The city will remain open to tourists but they were advised to check the local VISITA website for the requirements and process, which you can check right here.

Social gatherings in hotels and restaurants will be allowed to fill in up to 30% of the venue capacity. There will also be a required prior approval from the City Health Services.
