Manila Police Seize P17M Suspected Illegal Drugs and Rescue Minor Used as Runner
Philippine National Police (PNP) in Manila seized P17 million worth of suspected illegal drugs and rescue a minor used as a ‘runner’.
During a buy-bust operation in Paco, Manila, police authorities have recovered suspect illegal drugs called “shabu” estimated at P17 million. Based on the report of GMA News, the operation was conducted by Manila Police District and the PNP Pandacan Station Drug Enforcement Unit.
Two drug suspects were arrested. The two were identified as Rudjiefei Bedo, 21, and Saida Ayuna, 32. A minor believed used by the suspects as a “runner” was rescued in the operation.

PNP Chief Police General Debold Sinas said that criminals should be stopped and children should be protected from criminal exploitation. He added that PNP will be a great threat and be their greatest enemy if they don’t stop these activities.
“We have to stop these criminals and protect our children from criminal exploitation. If these drug peddlers don’t stop pestering our children, the PNP will be their most difficult enemy to deal with,” PNP Chief Police General Debold Sinas said.
The suspects are currently detained at the MPD and will face unaccountable charges for drug trafficking. Meanwhile, the minor has been turned over to the relevant office for social welfare.
