Restaurant in BGC Hosted Raymond Gutierrez Birthday Party Shut Down
Taguig local government has shut down the restaurant that hosted the birthday party of TV personality Raymond Gutierrez amid pandemic.
Recently, a high-end restaurant in BGC becomes the venue of Raymond’s birthday celebration. Raymond celebrated his 37th birthday with his friends in La Picara BGC on Friday night.
However, photos and videos have surfaced online where attendees can be seen not observing minimum health protocols, which is wearing of face masks and physical distancing. As a result, Taguig COVID Regulations Enforcement ordered the restaurant to close down.

Based on posts online, Raymond and his friends who attended the party all had undergone COVID-19 testing. However, the clear violation of health safety rules and protocols led to a closedown of the establishment and many people online expressed disappointment.
Taguig Mayor Lino Cayetano said testing negative was not enough. “Any kind of testing does not excuse you from the rules of our city. So meron ho tayong mga patakaran. Hindi ho dahil nagpa-test kayo, exempted na ho kayo. We have to make that very clear,” he said.
Cayetano added that every staff of the restaurant, as well as their neighbors, were tested for the virus. They will hold the establishments responsible until the investigation is over.
“Kapag may problema ho tinatawagan nila kami, sir may customer kami ayaw sumunod. So far the investigation shows that the establishment did not call us, it did not call the PNP, it did not call the hotlines,” he added.
