Why is the name of Dingdong Dantes became a Twitter trend?
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes topped the Twitter trend on Friday, July 22, following the rumors linking action star Robin Padilla and OWWA official Mocha Uson.
Rumors surfaced that Robin impregnated Mocha and netizens speculated this from a blind item that was released on a popular showbiz site. With this, Robin’s wife Mariel Padilla broke her silence and defended her husband.
She said that her husband is grieving right now after the death of his brother Royette Padilla and it is inappropriate for bashers to spread baseless rumors.
Following the trending topic about Robin Padilla and Mocha Uson, the name of Dingdong Dantes topped the Twitter trend. Apparently, this came from the now-deleted post of social media personality and a known DDS, Andrew Olivar.
A netizen claimed that Olivar has been posting blind items between January 2 and 5 and he was referring to the subject of his story as “doorbell” who allegedly impregnated an actress.
Another Twitter user shared a screenshot of the post of Olivar showing the photos of Dingdong Dantes and his co-star in his defunct series Alyas Robinhood, Linday De Vera.
His caption stated that his post has no meaning and that he just finds the celebrities handsome and beautiful.
A Twitter fan account of Dingdong Dantes defended him against these speculations. The fan stressed that Andrew Olivar was just trying to divert the attention from Robin Padilla and Mocha Uson.
“The mere fact that Andrew Olivar deleted his post/s… it says all!” the fan account of the Kapuso actor said.
Along with the name of Dingdong Dantes, the name of his Marian Rivera also trended on Twitter.
