Lady Gaga Stirring Performance of US National Anthem Goes Viral
LADY GAGA – Grammy Award-winning singer Lady Gaga delivered a stirring performance of the national anthem at Joe Biden’s inauguration.
On Wednesday, January 20, Joe Biden has been sworn in as the United State’s 46th president. He vowed to be a president for all the Americans and even to those who did not support him.
The event has been cut back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The inaugural committee of the 78-year-old politician tried to keep the crowds to a minimum and urged people not to travel to Washington DC.
In between the swearing-in of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta or better known as Lady Gaga delivered a powerful rendition of the national anthem. The 34-year-old superstar decided to go for gold while singing the “Star-Spangled Banner.”
The Grammy Award-winning singer used a gold microphone and wore a giant gold dove brooch pinned to her dress. Her brooch drew comparisons to both “The Hunger Games” protagonist Katniss Everdeen and “Game of Thrones” dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen. Some fans thought she looks like the character of Effie Trinket.

During her performance, Lady Gaga raised her left fist on the word “proudly.” She was crying gently after her performance. She was followed by singer-actress Jennifer Lopez singing “America the Beautiful” and Joe Biden’s speech.

After the 2020 presidential race, Lady Gaga tweeted, “Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the American people, you just gave the world one of the greatest acts of kindness and bravery humanity has ever seen… Nothing but love for our new Commander in Chief and the 1ST female VP elected to the White House. Also, way to go PA.”
