Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma finally makes his first appearance after few months of absence from public view.

On Wednesday (January 20, 2021), the government-backed news website Tianmu News reported that Jack Ma has finally made his first public appearance since October. The business conglomerate has gone for a few months.

The China’s government media reported that the iconic business personality made his first public appearance for months through a video meeting with over 100 rural teachers in China. He was last seen on October 2020.

Jack Ma’s absence fueled various speculations from the online community after his statement amid the Chinese regulatory clampdown on his business empire. China suspends Ma’s fintech giant Ant Group last November 2020.

The 56-year-old Chinese man business Alibaba plunge due to the suspension of Ant Group’s IPO amid the coronavirus pandemic. Analysts said that Ant Group may become the world’s biggest initial public offering and the company worth over $500 billion before canceled by the Chinese authorities.
