International Celebrity Florence Pugh Says She Loves Pinoy Food “Lumpia”
The English actress Florence Pugh revealed on her Instagram account that she loves to eat the popular Filipino dish ‘Lumpia’.
On Thursday (January 14, 2021), the ‘Little Women’ star Florence Pugh talked about her love for ‘Lumpia’ on her Instagram account. She usually eats ‘lumpia’ from the house of her friend whose mom was good at cooking.
“I grew up eating lumpia and would literally count down the days until I’d eat it again, My best friend was [Filipino] and her mum was a master at cooking. She knew I loved them and would make a batch, freeze them, package them up for me to take home after our sleepover,” Florence said.
The 25-year-old actress who is also known for making cooking tutorials on her Instagram account has apologized to her followers after she misspelled “Filipino” in her post.
She has been also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress after playing the role of ‘Amy’ in “Little Women”.
“Lumpia” is a popular dish in the Philippines, which is usually present in every occasions such as birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, and other important events. It is made up of ground meat wrapped in a thin crepe-like pastry skin.
