A 21-year-old game artist called Ichicko unveiled a new cooking game with its very own Filipino twist. The game is called “Taste of Home”, where players take on the role of Marcela.

The leading character travels around the country to master local dishes under the guide of her mentors.

As of writing, there is still no mention of what dishes are included in the roster as the game is still in early development. However, the teasers already include the iconic Lumpia in the game.

According to an article from We The Pvblic, “Taste of Home” was a thesis project made by students from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. This was part of their game development course.

The game would be available for demo at the school’s Incendium exhibit happening this November 27-28. With this, the game devs said that the demo would be released sometime in the future.

They added that if there is a high-demand for the game, they would release a full version of it. “Chop, Boil, and Fry your way into mastering these dishes so you can earn the recognition of your mentors!
