Woman Attempts To Dodge Curfew In Canada By Walking Husband On A Leash
CANADA – A woman attempted to bend curfew protocol in Sherbrooke City, Quebec in Canada, by taking a man on a leash for a walk.
The province of Quebec has imposed an 8PM curfew in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus, according to Inquirer.
The Sherbrooke police recently apprehended a woman who was walking with her husband on a leash. The woman, who was confronted by the police, replied with a straight face that she was walking with her dog.
Isabelle Gendron, spokeswoman of the Sherbrooke police, said that woman was testing the police.
The couple was fined with 1,500 Canadian dollars but refused to accept limits on her freedom, saying that she would be back out on the streets every night during the lock down.
At the same time, a drunk motorist was also apprehended and fined. The motorist wanted to see what it was like to be outside during the curfew, based on the report.
The curfew, which is province-wide from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for the, hasn’t been seen in Canada since the Spanish flu a century ago.
So far, 740 tickets have been issued for curfew violations, according to official data.
