Farmer’s Dead Body Brought to Bank to Withdraw Money Left in Account
Neighbor brings the body of the dead farmer to the bank to withdraw and spend the money left from the farmer’s bank account.
A strange incident in India went viral on social media where a neighbor carried the dead body of an old male farmer to a bank to get the money left in his bank account to use for expenses on its hill.

He is Mahesh Yadav, 55, a farmer from a barangay in the eastern state of Bihar, India. The reason for his death is because he has been in pain for a long time, according to a police officer.
Yadav was alone in life, and only his neighbors discovered and saw his body. Since the old man had no family with him, and no source of financial assistance for his funeral, his neighbors decided to search every corner of his house, hoping that they would find some money to spend on his funeral.

Although they failed to find money, they found a bank Passbook with only $ 1,600 or about 76,000. According to Police Amrendar Kumar, his neighbors decided to just bring the passbook they found and Yadav’s body to Canara Bank.
They were stubborn until the bank branch manager did not provide part of the contents of his bank account. Kumar said the neighbors demanded from the bank to give them the money from Yadav’s account for the cremation and otherwise they would not cremate it.
Later in their conversation, the bank was also forced to give the money they demanded with the help of the local police. After more than an hour, they gave them the money ($ 135 or about P6,400) and they finally left with the corpse for cremation.
The strange scene witnessed by other clients inside the bank created fear and chaos and branch manager Sanjeev Kumar admitted that he has only witnessed such an incident in his entire life.
