Man in Dagupan City Busted With 1 Kilo of Illegal Dried Plant Drugs
Dagupan City authorities arrested a man in a buy-bust operation possessing 1 kilo of illegal dried plant drugs called “MaryJane.”
A buy-bust operation conducted in a subdivision in Barangay Pantal on Thursday resulted in the arrest of a drug personality, according to the report of Manila Bulletin. Dagupan Police Chief Lt. Col. Luis M. Ventura Jr. identified the arrested suspect as Jemel Mandapat, 24, a resident of Baguio City.
The drug buy-bust conducted at 9:30 p.m. on Arellano Street in Sunrise Subdivision, Barangay Pantal. According to Ventura, the suspect did not know that he was already transacting with a police officer when he was arrested.
Mandapat yields two pieces of rolled dried marijuana leaves that were wrapped in cellophane. The contraband weighed one kilogram and was estimated to be worth P120,000. Ventura said Mandapat had been under surveillance prior to his arrest.
