Soldier Shoots Another Soldier To Death In Zamboanga City
ZAMBOANGA CITY – A soldier recently shot another soldier to death in the middle of an argument inside their camp in Zamboanga City.
The victim, identified as Technical Sargent Joseph Caturan of the 54th Engineering Brigade of the Philippine Army, was shot in the head by the suspect, identified as Private First Class Herbert Antonio, according to a report from GMA News.
Initial probe showed that the incident took place in a heated argument at an army camp in the city while Caturan was confronting Antonio. This was because the camp’s elevated water reservoir overflowed unattended.
Antonio was supposed to look after the reservoir, but failed to be on duty because he was drunk.

Based on the report, another soldier was killed by an unidentified gunman in Wao, Lanao del Sur.
The victim was identified as Corporal Arnasil K. Esmael of the Philippine Army’s 5th Infantry Battalion.
