5 COVID-19 Deaths In Quezon Province Recorded On First Week Of 2021

QUEZON PROVINCE – Health officials in Quezon province have recently recorded 5 deaths from COVID-19 in the first week of 2021.

The Integrated Provincial Health Office revealed that four COVID-19 patients one each in the town of Candelaria and Tayabas City and two in Lopez town, were the latest recorded deaths, according to a report from Inquirer.

Another patient also died on Sunday in the municipality of Unisan.

The IPHO records showed that 25 COVID-19 patients died last month. 53 have died of the disease in November.

The health office added that the number of active virus carriers jumped from 245 to 257.

The highest tally of active COVID-19 cases was recorded on October 31 with 921, which fell to 760 at the end of November.

The province, which is still under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) status, recorded a total of 6,278 COVID-19 cases, with 5,828 recoveries since it broke out in March.

Based on the report, 19 localities out of 41 towns in the province are now COVID-19-free. The IPHO added that Those previously infected in areas have either recovered or died.
