Killer Cop Jonel Nuezca Quarantined As He Awaits Trial Says BJMP
NUEZCA QUARANTINED – According to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Police M/Sgt. Jonel Nuezca was transferred to a facility in Paniqui Tarlac.
Nuezca was captured on video as he shot dead two unarmed civilians in front of his young daughter. Currently, the killer cop is awaiting trial for killing Sonya Gregorio and her son, Frank Anthony.
According to BJMP spokesperson Chief Inspector Xavier Solsa, Nuezca was placed under isolation to protect against COVID-19. Based on an article from Philstar, Solsa said: “He will undergo quarantine for 21 days”.
Solda explained that there were 58 in mates in the jail where Nuezca is supposed to be placed. Ideally, this jail has a capacity of 19 inmates. As such, the congestion rate of the jail would be around 300%.
As a precaution against a potential spread of COVID-19, Nuezca would be quarantined for 21 days, a week longer than the mandatory quarantine for individuals coming into the Philippines. As per the article, Solsa said Nuezca would join his fellow inmates once his quarantine is done.
Nuezca was previously charged with two separate homicide cases. However, his charges were dismissed due to a lack of evidence against him.
