DUTERTE’S RIZAL DAY MESSAGE – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte mentioned the frontliners in his statement for the Rizal Day celebration today.

One of the annual celebrations in the Philippines is the commemoration of the death of the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. He was executed in Bagumbayan, now the Rizal Park, on December 30, 1986.

Rizal is famous for his two books which were his ways to open the eyes of the Filipinos to what is going on. These books are the El Filibusterismo and the Noli Me Tangere which are both part of the school curriculum.

A Rizal subject is one of the requirements in college. It is the teaching of the life, works, and heroic deeds of the late doctor.
