PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day December 28, 2020 (Monday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the low pressure area (LPA) and the tail-end of a frontal system, which affects Extreme Northern Luzon, will bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley and Aurora. Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.

According to GMA News, the trough of LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Quezon, and the rest of Northern Luzon.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during occasionally heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region. Again, flash floods or landslides may occur during occasionally heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, the bureau is monitoring two LPAs inside the Philippines.

One of them was last seen at about 90 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora, while the other was at 235 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan as of the 3 AM. The latter is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Tuesday.

The seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon will face mooderate to rough coastal waters, while Visayas and the rest of Luzon will face slight to moderate seas. Mindanao, on the other hand, will faceslight to moderate coastal waters.
