Dennis Padilla talked about his daughter Julia Barretto
Comedian Dennis Padilla was teary-eyed upon talking about his daughter actress Julia Barretto in this recent interview.
Talking to PEP, Dennis revealed that he seldom sees Julia along with the latter’s siblings Leon and Claudia. The comedian shared that the last time he spent with his children with ex-wife Marjorie Barretto was in December of 2019.
That was their early Christmas dinner with Dennis’s 29-year-old son with his first wife and eight-year-old son with his current partner. Early this month, the comedian had an accidental meeting with Julia that made him so happy.
Talking about the inconsistent communication and meeting with Julia Barretto, Dennis Padilla got emotional. He described his connection withy his children as “madalang” and bitin”.
The comedian also shared the short conversation he had with his daughter during their accidental meeting. “I was happy to see her kasi the last time I saw her was a year ago,” he shared.
After checking health protocols, Dennis asked Julia to have photos with her. He posted these on his Instagram account. The comedian also asked his daughter to promote his MMFF 2020 entry Pakboys: Takusa with Janno Gibbs.
That meeting made him cry. “Yeah, but I did not show her. Siyempre kilala ako, pangalan ko nga Dennis Astig. So I talk astig, I act astig. But when it comes to my children, I’m really weak,” he shared admitting that he was emotional.
Then, Dennis asked Julia to guest him on her vlog. “Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Jul, i-guest mo naman ako sa channel mo, yung parang drinking-drinking something. Sabi niya, ‘Bakit?’ ‘Para ma-promote ko rin Pakboys.'”
However, Julia Barretto already knew that her father will just cry. “Sabi niya, ‘Pagkatapos iiyak ka na naman?’ Hindi na ako nakasagot. Hindi ko na pinush na mag-guest ako sa drinking-drinking vlog niya,” Dennis Padilla shared.
