Manny Pacquiao speaks about birthday celebration with many guests
Senator Manny Pacquiao answered the speculation protocol violation that happened during his birthday celebration.
Last week, the boxer-turned-politician celebrated his 42nd birthday. His family and closest friends had a birthday salubong for him. He also shared his wish before he blew the candle on the cake that was prepared for him.
During that say, he opted to do his normal routine as a public servant. He also distributed relief goods for poor people in Sarangani.
Following that, there was birthday party that was held. In line with this, an issue was raised regarding the possible protocol violation. The lawmaker said that they were not careless about the situation.

Manny Pacquiao said that there were less than 50 guests in a venue that was supposed to have a capacity of 300 persons. Based on the article from ABS-CBN News, the lawmaker said that all of his guests underwent PCR (polymerase chain reaction) prior to the birthday party.
He said that he already anticipated that this issue will be raised. When asked if he did not violate the protocol amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Senator said he did no.
“Wala naman po, maingat tayong nag-celebrate ng birthday party natin. Although simple lang, ang focus na lang natin is yung pamimigay ng relief goods saka pera sa ating mga kababayan,” Pacquiao said during the interview.
Meanwhile, Manny Pacquiao is one of the popular names emerging now in predictions about the 2022 elections. Speculations surfaced that Manila Mayor Isko Moreno will be his running mate.
When asked about this, he answered that politics is not in his mind right now as he is prioritizing other things.
