PAGASA – Trough of LPA Tp Bring Cloudy Skies, Scattered Rains Over Parts Of Mindanao, Visayas This December 17, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day December 17, 2020 (Thursday).

The 3 AM update from the state weather bureau says that a Low Pressure Area or LPA was last spotted at about 820 kilometers east of Davao City while the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect the rest of the country on this day.

Accordinig to GMA News, the Trough of LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, SOCCSKSARGEN and Davao Region. Flash or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region. Again, flash or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.

Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of the Luzon.

The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, Luzon, Visayas, and eastern section of Mindanao will face moderate to strong winds that are moving in the east to northeast direction while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Mindanao will face light to moderate winds that are moving in the northeast to north direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
