COMMON JOB INTERVIEW – Here is a list of the questions that are usually asked during a job interview and how to answer them well.

The interview is a part of a lot of processes – applying for college, for a job, for hiring, etc. It is part of the criteria apart from the examinations, written or practical, given by a school, a company, or any institution.

Since it is a part of the criteria, it is really an edge to prepare not only for the exam but as well as for the interview. There are common job interview questions and here is a guide on how to answer them impressively:

Common Job Interview Questions & How To Answer Them

1. Tell me about yourself.

Truths be told that it is one of the most common introduction during an interview. Introduce yourself and add a little personal information but do not say entirely what is on your resume. It is important to give them something that is not written on the resume you passed like why did you chose your course.

Example: I Jasper Benedict Tan, a graduate of De La Salle University. I took Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. I took education because I really wanted to teach the young people and have these little children as masterpieces more than anything else. Currently, I and my family are residing in San Juan City.

2. What are your weaknesses?

This is one hard question to answer if you are out to impress so you’ll get the job. The trick is to give a negative piece but turn it into a positive situation while talking about it.

Example: My weakness is that I am a worrier. I tend to worry a lot about things most especially when a task is given to me. I want things done the best way thus I find it hard to just sit and relax when tasks are on the surface.

3. What are your strengths?

It is easy to say this and that. They can be written in your resume. The target is to prove the things on your resume. If you think being very warm to people makes you the best choice for a marketing job, here’s what you can say to prove it:

Example: I love talking to people and establish friendships amid the line of business. That is why most of my clients in my previous employment became my friends and kept on coming back for our services.

4. Why should we hire you?

This is the question that needs a very natural answer. Just say a piece about yourself but never ever compare yourself to other applicants for the job.

Example: I am passionate on this type of job and I believe that the best things root from the love of doing it. I really look forward to making excellent deals bearing your company’s name.

5. What do you expect from our company / your job?

It is important to be honest but do not expect beyond what must be expected. Say some lines that can really prove you are for personal growth.

Example: I’ve known this company as a firm that really takes care of the welfare of its employees and I honestly look forward to it. I want to learn a lot of things and gain new experiences in my chosen field under this firm.

It is really important to speak very natural when applying for a job. Also, keep in mind to impress the interviewers without comparing yourself to others or putting other people down. Beyond all the questions, the interviewers surely check the personality of the person behind his or her answers.
