Locsin Tells Leachon Now Is Not The Time To Pick And Choose A Vaccine
LOCSIN GOES ON RANTS – Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr. goes on a Twitter rant saying now is not the time to pick and choose the vaccine.
Recently, Former Inter-Agency Task Force for COVID-19 adviser Dr. Anthony Leachon questioned the government for prioritizing China’s Sinovac vaccine. Leachon stressed that there had yet to be enough evidence and reports regarding its effectiveness and safety.
On his official Twitter account, Leachon said: “Isn’t it worrisome that the government is still prioritizing the vaccines for which there are not enough safety and efficacy data?“.
As a response, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Leachon had previously been cursed out by President Duterte. Furthermore, he stressed that next time, he’ll make sure the people see it.
Meanwhile, Locsin went on a rant on Twitter and said:
Doctor slammed by Malacañang for questioning purchase of China vax. Didn’t he work for PFIZER? It’s a normal native reaction to anything unfamiliar. This is not the time for pick and choose. All the vaccines are good and all of them have the limitations of short trials.
