20 Visitors of Baptism Arrested After Caught Violation of Health Protocols

Authorities arrested twenty (20) visitors of allegedly “binyag” or baptism held inside public north cemetery for violating health protocols.

Police from Manila Police District Station 3 arrested twenty people who attended a baptism reception inside the Manila North Cemetery last Saturday night. According to Dobol B on News TV, the suspects were arrested for violating health protocols against COVID-19.

Visitors were surprised when police suddenly arrived at the reception held next to the tombs inside the cemetery. A tent has been set up for the said reception.

The suspects were caught doing videoke while drinking. Many of the guests also caught not wearing face masks and face shields.

The suspects have been taken to a covered court near Station 3 of the MPD in Sta. Cruz, Manila. The suspects will face complaints about violating health protocols.

The Department of Health (DOH) earlier warned against videoke/karaoke in public places because of the high chance of transmitting the virus while singing. The mass gathering is also prohibited because of the threat of the virus spread.
